THE JOURNEY

2020

In the shadow of 2020's global upheaval, Get Ready to Rise (GRTR) was conceived just before the world changed forever. It began as a sanctuary for the spirit, crafted by women for women, as we navigated through the fog of uncertainty that the pandemic cast over all our lives. Here, amidst the chaos, a space was carved out for hope, healing, and the nurturing of dreams deferred by crisis.

The Formative Days:

Initially, GRTR was a collective effort, a bonding of souls—four women united by a vision of empowerment amidst adversity. Together, we created a vibrant community that held many hearts during those turbulent times. However, personal hardships and the relentless wave of global change led to a reshaping of our group. Despite these shifts, the essence of our mission only deepened, transforming challenges into stepping stones.

The Get Ready tO Rise Book

As the world closed in, our plans transformed into a powerful book. Launched in December 2020, the 'Get Ready to Rise Book' became a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Authored by Sara Noel and Natasha Holland, with the incredible help and support of Creative writer, Nikki Hall, this collection shared stories of seventeen incredible women from the Get Ready to Rise community. Their triumphs over trials were woven together with practical resources aimed at empowering our readers to reclaim their narratives.

This project also served a heartfelt cause, supporting a young girl in Nigeria through her educational journey—our ripple effect of empowerment stretching across continents, inspired by my own personal discovery of roots and lineage.

2022

Unfortunately Natasha's path suddenly took another direction too, so the responsibility to carry the legacy forward fell to me. The years that followed were periods of introspection and realignment. In 2022, a reinvigorated push through new workshops and community engagement breathed fresh life into the cause, though it was not without its trials. This prompted me to re-evaluate the core values, mission and partnerships needed to take it forward.

With renewed energy and backed by a circle of supportive coaches, Get Ready to Rise Coaching CIC was born. This new chapter, however, faced familiar hurdles, reminding us that growth often comes in cycles, each bringing its own lessons.

The decision to dissolve GRTR as a CIC was bittersweet, yet it cleared the way for a new beginning.

2025 - new beginning

Get Ready to Rise Again!

Following a challenging business experience last year, I found myself having to get ready to rise again. The episode brought me significant pain, yet I realised staying fixated on it without healing would leave me immobile, disconnected from the future vision I'd put aside while distracted by another's dream.

In the past, admitting business missteps used to bring me shame, but honestly, we must embrace the lessons we're meant to learn—reflect on the positive, indulge in gratitude, and celebrate our successes, despite the lack of integrity of others.

The Valley:

Solitude is often stigmatised in our hyper-connected society, where it's mistaken for loneliness. But solitude is indispensable for self-discovery and personal growth, helping us tune out daily noise and reconnect with ourselves. Hence, I've spent considerable time alone, in nature, to clearly hear my thoughts and deeply understand my emotions. It's given me the room to ponder my ambitions, devise plans, and think inventively—an essential ritual for dedicated self-improvement.

Now, I'm ready to serve again, armed with greater wisdom, bolstered confidence, and a heart brimming with love and gratitude for the authentically energised people in my life. I am not ready to relaunch GRTR as a CIC again, but I do want to keep that vision in mind, whilst serving a brand new framework that will help many heart centred people on their journey.

So, it is my pleasure, that I announce the inaugural Get Ready to Rise event of 2025! Embark on a unique transformative journey this February at the Community Arts Centre, Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Join a journey, not just an event. It's about growing, connecting, and creating lasting memories.
